Specialty Wool Quilt, Comforter or DuvetManufactured in Australia, these high quality wool comforters (quilts or duvets) are made from a specially processed pure Australian wool and have an outer cover of high quality cotton japara. The wool filling of the comforter is hand laid into the cotton outer cover and channel stitched in a European squares pattern, with the wool being sewn down (this means the wool will not move and so provides a constant overall warmth).
Specialty Wool Quilts manufacture comforters in three thicknesses - SummerLight (250gsm - summer weight), Sonesta (350gsm - approximately equal to the warmth of two good quality blankets) and Specialty (500gsm - approximately equal to the warmth of 3-4 good quality blankets). Because wool is a natural insulator the comforter is able to be made light in weight so they are exceptionally comfortable to sleep under.
